Juno Frocks

We are British designers with over 35 years experience of couture work, collaborating together on many projects, from costume for film, TV and stage to embellished occasion wear.

While I (Tess) was the owner of a highly successful eveningwear company ‘Masquerade’, Helen impressively ran 4 labels concurrently: Helen Bailey Bridal Wear, Cecelia Burnett, Junior Belle, Figuratively Speaking, providing various creative solutions across the bridal market.

Our manufacturing remains firmly based in the UK and we continue to support the ‘Made in Britain’ campaign.

Our collective skills and experience include:

- Design concept through to finished product

- Bridalwear

- Tailoring

- Corsetry

- Occasion Wear

- Costume

- Textile Embellishment and Dye.

We continue our collaboration as ‘Juno’, a company offering alternative, bespoke garments for the discerning woman and provide a discreet and sympathetic service to our clients.

As a rough guide, this is how we work with our clients.....

First Meeting - Non Obligatory

Usually meeting in either your home or locality we would discuss your requirements, what you aspire to, silhouette.  Any tear sheets, Pinterest etc you could bring would help us to understand the look you are aiming for.

Second Meeting/The Design

We would show our design suggestions based on the above information and having decided on which style would suit you the most, take appropriate measurments.  Fabric samples will be shown, for you to make a decision.

Third Meeting/Toile Fitting

At this stage the design would be made up in calico (basic cotton cloth) to check the fitting and details, eg. pocket positions etc.  Shoe height, accessories and underwear need to be taken into account at this stage.

Forth Meeting/Shell Fitting

The first fitting in the "real" fabric: Shell means that no lining or fastenings have been added at this stage.  Fittings adjusted as neccessary including length (Underwear and real shoes are a must at this point).

Final Fitting

Last check that everything is satisfactory!

Every garment we make is bespoke and prices depend on fabrics and designs.

We would normally expect 50% deposit at the second meeting, and balance at the final fitting.

Generally prices start from £500

In addition, Juno is able to offer a costume hire service for special occasions.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for a non obligation consultation.
